What was involved?
Gray Construction built an extension to the house at the rear.They created an open plan area from the front of the house through to the rear extension. They also converted and insulated the attic and insulated the front and back walls.

How did you choose Gray Construction Ltd?
Through my architect. Karl has done some work for him and he found him very good and reliable. We went out to tender to two or three builders and Karl came in best.

Did Karl introduce new ideas?
Yes, Karl might say something to the architect or myself about something that might need to be changed. It didn't really arise that much because we'd gone through it all when we laid out the spec and that was in discussion with Karl as well.

How did the project run?
We were happy with it and everything went according to plan. If there was any deviation or change that we wanted to make, Karl was good at making them.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Gray Construction Ltd?
Karl runs a tight ship; there's no hanging around and he's absolutely on top of everything. There were so many people coming in i.e the plumber, landscaper, scaffolder, tiler and in all those situations Karl had everything prepared for them. There were no gaps and no down-time with Karl.

What's your favourite part now?
My favourite part is the actual extension itself. I'm very happy with the finish.
